In terms of spring systems, spring systems in a chair have two major types: standard springs (sinuous spring) and eight-way tied springs. A sinuous spring system includes heavy-gauge steel wires that are shaped in the form of continuous and vertical S-shaped coils.
These springs are firmly connected to the frame with clips. Then, they are further re-enforced with horizontal metal tie rods. While, on the other hand, an eight-way tied spring system can be defined as a spring system that is a tried technique which requires expert craftsmanship to carry out these jobs.
In order to do so, craftsmen need to tie springs eight ways, from side to side, front to back and diagonally. This allows crafts man to come up with upholstered furniture that is cushioned, flexible, soft, supportive and comfortable.
Another point to consider is that seat cushions can lose their softness and shape over time. So, if you have any of your cushions that lost its shape, you don’t need to worry. Englanderline can fill these cushions for you with a variety of different fillings, including foam, feathers, down, hypoallergenic filling, horsehair or a mix.
Many cushions are made from a high-density foam core that is then covered with flexible and soft polyester feather material and down, or a hygienic, instead.
It is also noteworthy that Dacron brings a sense of elegant look while the wraps shape a comfortable and softcover in order to keep chairs and cushions in shape.
